The Shield Art Ring

Please note, this is a one-of-a-kind ring made for our ARTring 2024 exhibition. ARTring is an annual celebration of bold design and craftsmanship showcasing masterful creations from 30 unique designers. The ARTring event is hosted in the gallery from November to January. Each ARTring comes with a dedicated Story Card featuring a sketch and quote from the designer.

The Shield Art Ring by Alison Evans is a modern, one-of-a-kind ring that exemplifies Alison’s artistry with her signature chainmail technique. A striking combination of titanium for strength, gold for richness, and diamonds for brilliance, this wide ring is accented with a gold plaque for added depth. Its intricate, handwoven links create a fabric-like texture, wrapping elegantly around the finger to form a wearable work of art that merges durability with contemporary design.

Alison says about her Art Ring:

“Using Alison’s signature chainmail techniques, THE SHIELD RING combines three elements, titanium for strength, gold for depth and diamonds for glamour. It’s unique form, comprising of many hand-made links that hold each other like an intricate weave, wrap around the finger revealing a fabric-like texture.”
